It builds understanding of antisemitism and empathy for its victims, without stigmatizing or accusing any specific group of antisemitic prejudice. It is accessible to the general public, but can also be used by media professionals, policymakers, and educators,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/ark:\/48223\/pf0000396116\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">the UNESCO publication states<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The new international UNESCO guide provides support to policymakers, curriculum developers, and educators in designing effective educational strategies to combat antisemitism. \u201cThis guide aims to guide and empower those on the frontlines of education,\u201d emphasizes Stefania Giannini, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, in the publication\u2019s foreword.<\/p>\n<h3>Carefully selected case studies<\/h3>\n<p>Based on the most comprehensive global research on antisemitism education to date\u2014carried out by the Segerstedt Institute at the University of Gothenburg with the support of the Swedish Ministry of Education\u2014the guide identifies ten key educational practices grounded in contemporary academic literature. Each practice is illustrated with carefully selected case studies from different national contexts, starting with Terraforming\u2019s \u201cABC of Antisemitism,\u201d which represents innovative and up-to-date approaches to addressing antisemitism in and through education. Mi\u0161ko Stani\u0161i\u0107, Director of Terraforming, is one of ten authors and practitioners featured in the publication.<\/p>\n<h3>Tailored and informed approaches against antisemitism<\/h3>\n<p>The UNESCO Resource Guide serves as a foundation for selecting relevant and context-sensitive educational materials, taking into account the changing nature of contemporary antisemitism and the need for tailored and informed approaches in diverse educational environments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is an urgent need for interventions in the field of critical education on antisemitism,\u201d the introduction states.<\/p>\n<h3>ABC of Antisemitism &#8211; essential knowledge in one place<\/h3>\n<p>Terraforming\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/antisemitizam.rs\/abc-o-antisemitizmu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">ABC of Antisemitism<\/a> handbook brings together essential knowledge about contemporary antisemitism in one place. It is the first resource of its kind in the Republic of Serbia, intended primarily for professionals in media, remembrance culture, and education. It was created in response to the need for a reliable source of key terms and concepts on antisemitism following a marked rise in antisemitic incidents and manifestations\u2014particularly on social media, but also in the form of insults, threats, and antisemitic attacks\u2014across Europe and in Serbia.<\/p>\n<p>The author of the handbook is Mi\u0161ko Stani\u0161i\u0107, Director of Terraforming, with expert collaborators Dr. Aleksandar Stojanovi\u0107, Vice President of <a href=\"https:\/\/antisemitizam.rs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">the Center for Combating Antisemitism and Intolerance<\/a>, and Nevena Bajalica, Program Manager at Terraforming.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div  class='flex_column av-prsbt3-dfeae495bd941aa2032257d48ca6aa6b av_one_third  avia-builder-el-4  el_after_av_two_third  avia-builder-el-last  flex_column_div  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-mhp10cxg-c2789dc39add451f8813b6fe8f439616 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe ABC of Antisemitism handbook is conceived as a clear, practical, and accessible way to learn the basics.
