We are happy to announce that\u00a0the publication \u201cEscalating into Holocaust\u201d is now available in PDF format for free download, and as an online ISSUU publication.<\/p>\n<p>Publication \u201cEscalating into Holocaust\u201d is a collection of selected works, papers, presentations and lectures on topics related to Holocaust research, remembrance and education, presented during the conferences, seminars, workshops and other events organized during 2016 and 2017 in the frames of the project \u201cEscalating into Holocaust\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3>Impressive list of\u00a0authors<\/h3>\n<p>Among\u00a0authors that contributed their works to the publication there are:\u00a0<strong>Dr Milan Koljanin<\/strong>, Institute for contemporary History in Belgrade; <strong>Dr Akim Jah<\/strong>, International Tracing Service (ITS) in Bad Arolsen; <strong>Dr Susanne Heim<\/strong>, Institute of Contemporary History Munich &#8211; Berlin; <strong>Dr Sanela Schmid<\/strong>, Researcher in Editionsprojekt \u201cJudenverfolgung 1933\u20131945\u201d from Nuremberg; <strong>Dr Erik Somers<\/strong>, NIOD Institute for War, Genocide and Holocaust Studies in Amsterdam;\u00a0<strong>Mikhail Tyaglyy<\/strong>,\u00a0Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies; <strong>Dr\u00a0Nevena Dakovi\u0107<\/strong>, Film Studies at the Dept. of Theory and History at the University of Belgrade; and many others.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the works are written in English, while some are available in Serbian language only.<\/p>\n<h3>Victim&#8217;s database, exhibition and teaching material<\/h3>\n<p>Also, in the publication you can read more about the project activities and events, and the project&#8217;s\u00a0outcomes and products: a new online database of prisoners of the Sajmi\u0161te camp (produced by the Historical Archives of Belgrade), Teaching material &#8220;Ester&#8221; &#8211; graphic novels about the Holocaust in Serbia (produced by Terraforming), and the exhibition &#8220;October 1941&#8221; (produced by Center for Holocaust Research and Education in Belgrade).<\/p>\n<h3>&#8220;Escalating into Holocaust&#8221; initiated by the Historical Archives of Belgrade<\/h3>\n<p>The international project &#8220;Escalating into Holocaust&#8221; was initiated by the <strong>Historical Archives of Belgrade<\/strong> with\u00a0partners from Serbia, Croatia, Netherlands and Sweden: <strong>Center for Holocaust Research and Education in Belgrade<\/strong>; <strong>NIOD Institute for War, Genocide and Holocaust Studies in Amsterdam<\/strong>, <strong>Dept. for Cultural Studies at\u00a0the University of Rijeka<\/strong>, and <strong>Terraforming<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Terraforming was in charge of several\u00a0segments of the project: organization of international events, production of the project&#8217;s website and the publication, development of\u00a0educational materials, and the project final\u00a0report.<\/p>\n<p>Project was\u00a0supported by EACEA \u2013 Europe for Citizens: European Remembrance.
