The project “Echoes of Memory: Interactive Conversations with Holocaust Survivors through AI” aims to enhance Holocaust education and spread awareness through the utilization of innovative AI-driven technology within an interdisciplinary, transnational partnership involving Greece, Lithuania, Romania, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Poland.

Through the creation of AI chatbots, we will make conversations with Holocaust survivors possible and allow for engaging, interactive, and personalized learning pathways accessible to diverse audiences, particularly younger generations, in a culturally responsive and gender-sensitive manner. This approach will preserve Holocaust survivors’ testimonies for future generations and make learning about the Holocaust more engaging and accessible.

A Governance Framework promoting ethical standards and interdisciplinary collaboration will be further developed, ensuring the project’s applicability and scalability as a blueprint for future Holocaust remembrance transdisciplinary initiatives.

The partnership comprises educational institutions, research and historical organizations, and Jewish communities across Europe, aiming to foster a comprehensive understanding of Holocaust history and its significance at both national and European levels.
