MILAGRO: Migrants and Local Communities Actively Growing Together for an Inclusive Society

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, the MILAGRO project “Migrants and Local Communities Actively Growing Together for Inclusive Societies” was presented at the University Library “Svetozar Marković.”
On behalf of Terraforming, our colleague Ljiljana Ćumura also participated in the program.

The MILAGRO project is funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency of the European Union under the CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) programme.

The activities of the project include: meetings aimed at developing digital and democratic competences, reflection and sharing of personal experiences (storytelling), events in which the local and migrant communities will share their experiences, organization of summer camps, dissemination, training of intercultural mediators and the creation of an international information resource (observatory website) on inclusive communities.
Some activities will be carried out at the local level, while others will be implemented through the joint efforts of partners, which will strengthen international cooperation and expand the development of intercultural dialogue.

Project objective

The overall objective of the MILAGRO project is to initiate activities, create tools and opportunities for building intercultural dialogue between the local population and migrants, as well as develop those democratic competencies that will imply positive and long-lasting relationships, based on mutual understanding, respect and solidarity.
