This project builds upon a previous production we finalized with the support of the Claims Conference. That work focused on the Novi Sad Raid and the deportation of Jews from Novi Sad and the Bačka region. Now, we’re building on it by promoting a graphic novel as a teaching tool, creating a teacher’s manual, guides, and running training seminars for the first cohort of educators.
Activities
We’ll assemble a team of expert trainers—long-term collaborators and leaders in Holocaust education—to design and deliver two rounds of seminars for about 75 participants total. These participants will include schoolteachers, museum and memorial educators, and public officials at various levels.
The project unfolds in two phases. First, we’ll prepare the team, refine the seminar content, and produce support materials. In the second phase, we’ll conduct two in-person seminar sessions, each followed by an implementation period during which participants apply what they’ve learned, culminating in an online evaluation and follow-up.
Project outcome
The result will be a sustainable online resource for Holocaust education, along with a trained network of educators and stakeholders. This will establish a foundation for further teacher training and engagement with young audiences.
The project is realized with Assistance from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Supported by the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future, and by the German Federal Ministry of Finance
