International conference “Remember ReAct Revisited – Together for Impact”

The international conference "Remember ReAct Revisited – Together for Impact" was organized by Terraforming and the Embassy of Sweden in Belgrade under the auspices of the Swedish chairpersonship of The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). High-ranking officials and experts from Serbia and Sweden discussed the issues of memorialization and education about the Holocaust and the genocide against the Roma, as well as dealing with contemporary antisemitism, antigypsyism, and the distortion and abuse of history.

Antisemitism can be described as hatred, animosity, or bias against the Jews, just because and only because they are Jews. Antisemitism is a very old phenomenon that was manifested in various ways throughout the centuries. Its most horrible form was the Holocaust. Antisemitism still exists today, in almost all parts of the world, as well as in Serbia.

Supported by OSCE/ODIHR in the frames of the programme “Turning Words Into Action to Address Antisemitism”, Terraforming created educational material "Ester" based on graphic novels about young Jewish victims of the concentration camp at Sajmiste in Belgrade.
