HANNAH Project

The HANNAH project focuses on the promotion of Jewish history, the enhancement of Shoah remembrance and the fight against Antisemitism in Germany, Greece, Serbia and Poland through capacity-building training, awareness raising and policymaking contribution. The goal was to inform and educate about the long history of the Jewish Communities in Germany, Greece, Serbia and Poland, to reinforce knowledge and remembrance and to increase awareness against antisemitism, through enhancing the capacity of schoolteachers, librarians, and archivists, the knowledge of young people, and policymakers.

HANNAH was a 2-year international project that gathered a coalition of partners from Greece, Germany, Poland, and Serbia, with aim to bring enhanced knowledge, new forms of remembrance and increased awareness of antisemitism, develop innovative tools against it, and contribute to combating it through capacity-building, awareness raising and policymaking, using innovative tools such as the Educational Graphic Novel, Documentary videos, Oral History Presentations, Installations, and dissemination actions.

In Serbia, Terraforming incorporated the activities into the Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture programme.

Some of the most important outcomes are the digital repository of antisemitic narratives, oral testimonies, video documentaries, an original graphic novel on Holocaust research, a manual on the use of graphic novels in education about the Holocaust, and an online course on antisemitism.
