Ephraim Zuroff , born 5. August 1948 in New York, is an Israeli historian and Nazi hunter who played a key role in bringing many Nazi and Fascist war criminals to justice. He is the director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center office in Jerusalem and the coordinator of the investigation of Nazi war crimes around the world.

Dr. Zuroff moved to Israel in 1970. . He completed his undergraduate studies in history at Yeshiva University. He received his master’s degree in Holocaust studies from the Hebrew University, where he also received his doctorate.

For the past 40 years, he has played an important role in efforts around the world to find and convict Nazi war criminals.

In recent years, Dr. Zuroff has given extensive lectures to audiences around the world.

Among other honors, on 22. January 2009 Dr. Zuroff was declared an Honorary citizen of Novi Sad in gratitude for revealing the role of Sandor Kepir in the massacre committed by Hungarian fascists in Novi Sad against Jewish and Serbian civilians, known as the Novi Sad Raid.
